Web Quest

Question no.1: What is Web Quest?

According to my research, WebQuest
is a learning activity used by educators. During this activity learners read, analyze, and synthesize information using the World Wide Web. Webquests were invented by Bernie Dodge and Tom March at San Diego State University in 1995. According to Dodge's Original publication a Web Quest is "an Inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from the resources on the internet, optionally supplemented with videoconferencing."

Question no.2: How will it helps the student and teacher learning?

As we are using this the so called Web Quest, it is easy for us as a student to gain more knowledge in analyzing different learning areas which is integrated in this informational technology.
Web Quest also is essential in the total development of a student through which it can help to do such an activity independently. It aims to gathered several information from the internet to provide the students even the teachers to be fit in the different levels of understanding. Thus, students and teachers are encouraged to engage on this said I.T. in order for them to spread out their teaching and learning experiences freely. It can also help to develop the critical thinking skills which stimulates one's imagination to produce artistic output and apply the learning towards the passage of being productive students and educator.

Question no.3: Would it be applicable to our country?

Yes, Web Quest can be applicable here in the Philippines for the reason that as a Filipino we are molded by our school institutions to become integrated person. We are made to undergo varies field of learnings in order for us to master basic learnings.
Perhaps, our country needs more improvement in the field of education and through this web quest we can be able to put this as a medium in order for us to be fit in on the other country's field of education. This may also be the stepping stone to be a resourceful individual. We will not just be contented on what we have right now but rather be able to relate on other concerns outside the country.
